The Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 comes with an incredible new line of features that are designed to not limit your creative possibilities when making music on the road. As we know all you need now to produce music is a laptop and Novation extend this ethos to the MIDI controller. You now don't need an enormous 88 key controller with vast sums of faders and control knobs. This keyboard enables you all the same creative freedom in a much more portable solution.
The transport section acts as an extension of your workstation by allowing you hands-on control without the need to touch your computer. This keyboard controller also comes with single-note chord triggering capabilities. This is a great compositional tool for producers that are lacking music theory knowledge.
The Launchkey mini MKIII can be integrated into any DAW, but the focus is on its relationship with Ableton. The 16 pads map to the same colours of your clips in the session view. This can be mapped to other digital audio workstations with the mapping templates which Novation have included. The LaunchKey Mini also comes with an arpeggiator to give you more creative avenues to explore.

Novation’s Launchkey range is packed with features and provides intuitive MIDI keyboard controllers ideal for all skill levels, which will be receiving their first firmware update with v1.1. Built on feedback and requests from many within the community, the new firmware update brings much-needed features to the Launchkey range, allowing for greater creativity and a more enjoyable, streamlined experience.
Experience the new Strum Mode for the Launchkey Mini and Launchkey Mk3, a simple to use tool that further inspires creativity and works with you to develop your music production further. Users can utilize the mod strip/wheel found on the Launchkey series, allowing them to hold notes and trigger Strum Mode. Unlock your imagination using the new Strum Mode alongside additional arpeggiator modes to create a new dimension to your music.
Strum Mode is one of many features and fixes included with the v1.1 Firmware Update, which brings some long-awaited changes and requests from the community to improve functionality and increase enjoyment. Adjust pad brightness to suit your environment, increase or reduce pad velocity, and toggle MIDI clock output, along with a new double-tap shift function for the arpeggiator and fixed chord modes that allow the shift function to enable one-handed control of shift-activated buttons and pads.
