True Sound

The HS3 is based on their predecessor's design principles and know-how of Yamaha studio monitors. The speakers feature a 2-way bass-reflex powered speaker design, a high-performance class-D amp, a highly durable MDF cabinet, 3.5-inch woofers and 0.75-inch soft dome tweeters that sound true to the source despite their smaller size. The speaker monitors also have unique "Twisted Flare Port" technology that lowers noise caused by air turbulence in the bass reflex port, making the bass clear and accurate. This is the key to the HS3's excellent resolution, sound picture, depth, and flat response across all bandwidths that do not alter the original sound.

Optimal Sound

The back panels of the HS3 feature Room Control and High Trim controls that allow you to make tweaks to get the best sound in any room. For example, lowering the unnecessary and exaggerated low-end that can often happen when speakers are placed close to walls.

Flexible Inputs and Controls

The HS3 has a combination of XLR/TRS phone, RCA, and stereo mini connectors on the rear of the unit. This allows for flexible connection of various professional and home audio devices, such as computers, audio interfaces, audio mixers, and electric instruments.
