Yamaha DZR315 15'' 3-Way Active PA Speaker (2000 Watts)

The Yamaha DZR315 15-inch 3-Way Active PA Speaker is a powerful loudspeaker which provides 2000-watt peak output. It features an integrated quality Class-D amplifier, with a 15-inch low-frequency (LF) driver, an 8-inch mid-frequency (MF) driver and a 2-inch high-frequency (HF) driver. The active speaker includes 96kHz DSP processors for high-resolution sound, advanced FIR-X Tuning, D-Contour multi-band compressor and an LCD screen. The frequency response of the unit is an impressive 31Hz – 20kHz and has a sound pressure level of 143dB.

The 96kHz processors assist in producing the high-power output, which provides high-resolution audio performance and low latency. The advanced FIR-X Tuning offers excellent sound clarity and a smooth crossover, thanks to the linear phase FIR filters. There are also more EQ filtering options available for extra fine-tuning.

The Class-D amplifier has a smart design feature which can’t be found in previous models. The speaker comprises of a 15-inch LF driver featuring a 15-inch woofer and a 3-inch voice coil, a 2-inch HF driver featuring a 2-inch voice coil and a 1-inch throat compression driver, an 8-inch MF driver featuring an 8-inch transducer with a 1.5-inch voice coil for pronounced mid-range, along with a high quality Class-D amplifier at the heart of the active speaker. The amplifier produces a peak power of 2000 watts, powerful enough to manage multiple applications. The D-Contour multi-band compressor provides clear, clean and consistent audio, even at the highest volume.

At the rear of the DZR315, there is a built-in LCD screen where you can view and navigate a number of settings. Some of which can be modified directly using the display and rotary dial, including loading presets, DSP functions, adjusting the PEQ, delay and routing. There is also the availability for up to 8 user presets to be stored, and can be immediately recalled when required.

The Yamaha Active Speaker is ideal for commercial and portable uses, thanks to its robustness and being road-ready. There are handles to make it easily transportable and features a rotatable horn which allows for both vertical and horizontal mounting, there are also additional rigging points. At the rear of the unit, there are various connections, including two XLR/TRS Combo, two XLR outputs and a USB port.
