Yamaha DZR12 12'' Active PA Speaker (2000 Watts)

The Yamaha DZR12 12-inch Active PA Speaker is a 2-way, bass reflex, powerful loudspeaker that provides a 2000-watt output. It features an integrated two-way quality Class-D amplifier, with a 12-inch low-frequency (LF) driver and a 2-inch high-frequency (HF) driver design. The active speaker includes 96kHz processors, innovative FIR-X Tuning, D-Contour multi-band compressor and an LCD screen at the back of the unit. The frequency response of the unit is an impressive 39Hz – 20kHz and has a sound pressure level of 139dB.

The 96kHz processors produces the notable power output, which as a result offers high-quality audio performance along with low latency. The advanced FIR-X Tuning offers exceptional sound clarity along with a smooth crossover, with a little help from the linear phase FIR filters. There are further EQ filtering options available for that little bit of extra fine-tuning.

The two-way Class-D amplifier is a smart design feature which you cannot find within previous models. The speaker comprises of a 12-inch LF driver featuring a 12-inch woofer with a 3-inch voice coil, a 2-inch HF driver featuring a 1-inch compression tweeter and a 2-inch voice coil, along with a Class-D amp at the centre. The amplifier produces a peak power of 2000 watts, more than enough to deal with multiple applications. The D-Contour multi-band compressor provides clear, clean and consistent audio even at the highest of volumes.

At the rear of the DZR12, there is a built-in LCD screen where you can view and direct a number of settings. Some of which can be modified directly using the display and rotary dial including DSP functions, loading presets, adjust the PEQ, delay and routing. There is also the option for up to 8 user presets to be stored, with the opportunity to access them when needed.

The Yamaha Active PA Speaker is ideal for portable and commercial uses, thanks to its robust and sturdy frame. There are handles for easy transportation and features a rotatable horn which allows for both vertical and horizontal mounting. There are additional rigging points, pole sockets, and a 50° symmetrical floor monitor angle. At the back of the unit, there are various connections, including two XLR/TRS Combo, two XLR outputs and one USB port.
