The HK Audio MOVE 8 is a battery-powered speaker that is a part of their expanding PREMIUM PR:O series of loudspeakers. It is a top of the range speaker that produces high-quality sound, which can be used anywhere (thanks to no cables) making it ideal for public performances and events where flexible positioning, projected clarity and precision is required.
The MOVE 8 speaker allows for up to 11 hours of playback. It uses rechargeable batteries (two of which are supplied) which can power the speaker using one or both of the batteries simultaneously, and they can even be changed over without any interruption using the ‘Hot Swap’ function. All this and the dual battery slot is what sets the HK Audio MOVE 8 speaker apart from its competitors.
There is an integrated 4-channel mixer with inputs for microphone, line signals and an instrument, along with a 2-band EQ, a reverb for each channel, and the addition of Bluetooth 5.0 audio streaming.
A free app is available to iOS and Android users that can control the speaker remotely along with accessing additional functions. The app can be used to manage the channel settings and master volume, store and recall EQ settings, activate karaoke function, and trigger the integrated effects (chorus, tremolo and flange) and the 3 Celestion cab simulations.
All this makes the MOVE 8 a very flexible PA speaker choice for when power is limited, yet high-quality audio is required, and in the back of your mind know that it will easily last the duration of the event, without needing any physical intervention.
