The Rane Sixty-two is a 2-channel DJ battle mixer that supports plug’n’play capabilities with Serato DJ DVS vinyl systems and also works to control the Serato software via the dual USB ports as well as traditional analogue turntables and CDJs/media players and is supplied with two Serato control vinyl records and two Serato control CDs. This advanced DJ battle/performance mixer is perfect for DJs who use DVS vinyl systems as well as performance DJs, scratch DJs, and turntablists and also makes an excellent addition to any club or home DJ setup.

Rane Sixty-Two DJ Battle Mixer

Both channels on the Sixty-Two are equipped with 3-band isolator EQ controls alongside a dedicated high/low-pass filter knob so you can seamlessly blend your tracks together. The EQs come with +6dB and total kill options which allow you to entirely drop a frequency band if needed while the filter lets you quickly cut and sweep through frequencies with precision adding a unique effect to your tracks. An LCD display allows you to easily see which effect is selected and all parameters associated with that effect such as BPM, beat-timing and milli-second time.

The infamous Rane FlexFX loop allows you to integrate your favourite external effects processor into your DJ sets and offers flexible control over your chosen effects. The FlexFX loop works as an auxiliary bus channel that is dedicated to combining any channels together and applies internal, external, and software-based effects allowing you to quickly add or remove audio from the FlexFX channel. You can also stack multiple effects for creative mixing techniques and total manipulation of your music.

The mixer makes use of magnetic faders for the crossfader and channel faders which are super-fast, highly-accurate and have a super-long lifespan. The design of the faders was previously used for aerospace and industrial applications and offers zero travel noise and absolutely no bleed; the faders work to accurately translate hand motion into precise audio level control with non-contact fader technology that is the best way to address the needs of professional DJs. Should a fader become damaged by anything, they can easily be replaced or upgraded, and all are interchangeable.

Integrated into the Sixty-Two mixer is a 20-channel soundcard that is able to simultaneously support control vinyl and playback for two DVS turntables alongside an independent playback for the SP6 sample-player, the ability to record both mixer channels in the post-fader position, as well as provide a USB send/return channel for software-based insert effects as well as record the main mix. Thanks to the dual USB ports you can hook up two computers running different software to the mixer at any one time. Both ports are entirely independent of each other and allow for fluid back to back performances and seamless DJ changeovers; you can select which USB port you would like the audio to come from using the source select knobs at the top of the mixer.

The tight integration with Serato DJ lets you take full advantage of the controls for various software-based features and is MIDI-mappable so you can customise the controls to suit your exact requirements if needed. Either side of the mixer you’ll find extensive controls for Serato DJ, they include a rotary control for browsing and loading files from your digital music collection as well as extensive looping controls with both automatic loops, which allows you to select beat length alongside slip roll for a stutter effect and save loop, as well as manual looping controls with in, out and loop controls while a shift button lets you select the buttons secondary features.

The Sixty-Two DJ battle mixer is supplied with a copy of Serato DJ, one of the world’s most popular DJ applications and a highly-advanced software that offers controls over any parameter possible and also includes the ultra-low latency Core Audio and ASIO drivers that work to give you pristine audio from your computer.
