The Pioneer DDJ-RB Rekordbox DJ Controller is ideal for beginners starting out, or artists who are thinking of making the leap from analogue into the digital DJ world. The entry-level, USB-powered, RB inherits many features from the professional midi controllers in the range.  It also has some unique performance merits of its own, such as PC Master Out and Sequence Call.

The DDJ-RB has a design layout that handles like a 2-channel pro-DJ set-up with jog wheels, play/cue buttons, mixer rotary knobs and line faders, gain pots and a VU level meter; which all emulate the rekordbox DJ software, for easy navigation. Use the 8 coloured Performance Pads (four on each side) to launch various effects including, Beat Jump, Slicer, trigger Hot Cue and Pad FX; the creativity boundaries are endless! The unit features PC Master Out and Sequence Call which were specially designed to work with the new rekordbox 4.1.1 software update; and it's the first controller to showcase both features. PC Master Out allows you to use the internal speakers from your laptop or desktop computer, or connect desktop speakers as the master output. This means that you can use the controller to monitor and then cue your next track through your headphones, both at the same time. Sequence Call opens up creative freedom within the drum pad section so that your sample sequences can be assigned without having to touch your computer; leaving you to focus on your mixing and the performance. The other stand out highlight is the added Microphone features situated on the mixer section. You can effortlessly manipulate the mic control settings with the integrated 3-band EQ, talk over, Mic on/off button and FX, leaving you with distortion-free, clear voice-overs, even at loud volumes!

Pioneer's DDJ-RB is ready to use straight from the box and has a built-in sound card for optimum glitch free performances. Simply install the software, then connect to the computer with the provided USB cable (which also powers the unit).  You can even record your mixes directly to rekordbox DJ via the same USB cable. The included grip handles and lightweight design make the RB easily transportable.

With regards to input/output ports, the controller consists of one 1/4 inch TS jack Microphone input, one RCA pin jack Master output, one 3.5mm stereo mini jack Phones input (situated at the front) and one USB (B type) port.  The Rekordbox DJ software that is supplied with the RB needs to be activated using the licence key provided. The DJ controller has a maximum width of 482.6 mm, height of 58.5 mm and depth of 272.4 mm.
