New Merge FX Feature

Adding flare to sets and mixing between genres, no matter what the key or BPM of the next track is, can be flawless thanks to the new Merge FX feature. The use of a single knob can achieve significant effects. Press it to engage the effect, turn it to alter the speed to add tension to the music, and press the knob again to release the effect. A Sample can be fired upon release to end the track, so all that needs is hitting play on the other deck to introduce the next track into the set.
In total, if rekordbox is the selected music software management system then there are eight Merge FX pattern presets (this reduces to four if Serato DJ Pro is in use), and everything is customisable. One Merge FX is made up of four categories Build FX, Build Sample, Release FX and Drop Sample, which include 41 types of effects, all of which can be united to create over 9,000 different patterns. Additionally, there is the option to save eight of the users own patterns, where the FX Select button can be used to recall them when required.

New Jog Cutter feature for pro-sounding scratch effects

Use Jog Cutter to apply a professional sounding scratch effect to the last Hot Cue or playback position by merely moving the jog wheel. The feature is simple yet effective. There are ten scratch patterns to select and can be switched by moving the play head position displayed on the jog wheels on-jog display. The track will continue to play, from the Hot Cue position when your hand is removed.

The jog-wheels on the FLX6 are the same size as those on the CDJ-3000 multi-player. Scratching and pitch bending feels natural, and the inclusion of on jog display ensures vital information can be seen at a glance.

Sample Scratch - the all-new pad mode

Sample Scratch is a new pad mode in rekordbox which allows you to select sounds that have been assigned to the sampler and then load them on to the decks, which allows you to scratch with your favourite sounds. If you’re using Serato DJ Pro instead of rekordbox, then Scratch Bank can be used to trigger samples through the performance pads.

Rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro compatibility

Plug and play capability is available via the in-built soundcard and DJ Performance functions with either rekordbox or Serato DJ Pro. All you need to do is connect using a USB cable to a connected laptop that is running either of the music software applications, and you are ready to get DJing.

The DDJ FLX6 also comes complete with FX Pack and Pitch ‘n Time DJ Expansion Packs license keys for Serato DJ Pro, which allows access to these advance features whichever application is selected.
