The microKEY is a terrific method to set up your production setup since it's small, light, USB-powered, and works with any computer-based music applications. The Natural Touch mini-keyboard on the microKORG XL and the microARRANGER has found its way to the microKEY. In order to make playing, chording, and quick phrase work as simple as possible, the proportions of the black and white keys have been tweaked. Because of the keyboard design, glissandos are simple to perform. If you use this keyboard, your programme will be able to appropriately interpret your performance.
You're in Charge!
All versions are equipped with Octave Shift buttons. With the UP/DOWN octave shift buttons, you may cover the whole MIDI specification's range of notes when using the Key Transpose function in combination with each model. Arpeggiator, sustain/tap button and joystick assignable pitch bend, modulation or any other control modification are all included in the 25-key model's control and expressive capabilities.
No Drivers To Install:
There is no need to install a driver since the standard USB MIDI driver offered by Windows and Mac OS X is supported. With a USB connection, the microKEY is ready for usage on any PC or Mac.
Compatible with iPad:
You may use your iPad and the microKEY to operate MIDI-compatible applications like the Korg iMS-20 (apps must support Core MIDI). The iPad Camera Connection Kit and a USB cable are all you need if you're using the 25-key model (Korg recommend using a powered hub if you plan to use the microKEY for an extended time).
KORG KONTROL Editor:
MicroKEY may be tailored to your setup using the KORG KONTROL Editor software (which is included). There are nine velocity curves to pick from, as well as the control change number of the modulation wheel or joystick and the maximum and lowest values that may be set for each of them.
In order to get you up and running straight away, the microKEY includes the following software licences and discount coupons:
- The Korg Legacy Collection-Digital Version includes a licence for a limited edition of the M1 software synthesiser, which delivers the sounds of the ground-breaking M1 Music Workstation to your computer. To use this programme, you'll need to download it first.
- Toontrack's "EzDrummer Lite" software drum sound module comes with a licence, allowing you to use all of the high-quality drum sounds. To use this programme, you'll need to download it first. In no time, you'll be able to start playing real drums with your microKEY.
- A discount voucher is provided in the Ableton "Live" series This bundle includes a discount code for Ableton's popular DAW software, "Live," "Live Suite," and "Live LE."
- The "Lounge Lizard Session" physical modelling sound module from Applied Acoustics Systems, known for its highly expressive electric piano sounds, is included in the licence.
- Ultra Analog Session (License): Applied Acoustics Systems' analogue modelling synthesiser, "Ultra Analog Session," is included in this package.
- Acoustic guitar parts may now be played with the expressive intensity of an acoustic instrument thanks to the inclusion of "Strum Acoustic Session," the physical modelling software synthesiser that allows you to "play" acoustic guitar parts.
