The Adam Audio H200 are highly adaptable closed-back headphones, meticulously crafted to harness ADAM Audio’s 25 years of expertise in monitoring solutions. Its sleek, understated design adds a touch of sophistication to any workspace without sacrificing functionality or audio performance.
Equipped with PEEK diaphragm drivers and carefully designed acoustical housing, the H200 headphones delivers the superior sound quality that defines Adam Audio. Its lightweight yet durable build ensures both comfort and effective sound isolation, while the adjustable headband padding, memory foam earpads, and detachable cable provide long-lasting reliability, even in demanding studio environments. A premium soft carrying case makes transportation easy and convenient.
A key feature of the H200 headphones is the exclusive ADAM Audio Headphone Utility DAW plug-in. This software offers a suite of optimisation tools and a spatialisation function that uses advanced crossfeed techniques to better mimic how humans naturally perceive sound in three-dimensional space.
PEEK Performance Drivers
The Adam Audio H200 headphones are equipped with a 40mm Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK) driver that delivers a smooth, well-balanced frequency response ranging from 2 Hz to 23.5 kHz, with ample SPL and minimal distortion. Paired with a lightweight neodymium magnet system, it ensures crystal-clear sound quality.
H200 Features
The H200 includes standard faux leather earpads, which are easy to clean. The earpads are crafted with memory foam for a snug, comfortable fit, reducing internal resonances and providing excellent isolation, whether recording or working in noisy environments. The difference in frequency response caused by the unique acoustic properties of the earpads can be adjusted using the DAW plug-in.
Built for strength and comfort, the headband features durable components that provide a secure but comfortable clamping force. The replaceable padding is easy to clean and can be swapped out if needed. The headband design ensures a tight over-ear seal, effectively minimising unwanted resonances, particularly in the problematic 70-150 Hz range.
The headphones include a 3-meter detachable cable designed for durability, flexibility, and low mechanical noise. It features a 3.5mm connector and comes with a 6.3mm adapter.
Dual-Sided Connectivity
The H200 headphones offer flexible audio connectivity, allowing the cable to be connected on either the left or right side via a concealed, angled, 2.5mm input jack with a locking collar mechanism. Unlike bayonet or screw-in mechanisms, the collar releases under significant pressure to prevent damage to the cable or headphones, making cable replacement quick and easy.
ADAM Audio Headphone Utility Plug-In
The ADAM Audio Headphone Utility Plug-in, included with the H200, is available as a free download upon product registration. Although the H200 offers excellent sound quality out of the box, factors like source equipment impedance can affect the perceived sound. Traditional headphones also have a narrower stereo image compared to speakers due to their design. The Headphone Utility plug-in, which can be placed on the master channel of your DAW, provides various optimisation tools, including a spatialization feature that delivers a more natural stereo image.
Warranty
The Adam Audio H200 headphones comes with a two-year standard manufacturer warranty.
