The M-Audio M-Track Eight is a high-resolution USB 2.0 audio interface that comes equipped with Octane pre-amplifier technology that provides you with an exceptional audio experience and is suitable for any audio recording situation. The eight inputs allow you to track and record large music ensembles such as a full band or you can mic an entire drum kit using the professional-grade audio parts with an array of connections. This 8-channel audio interface is perfect for home studios, professional studios, music venues, club and bar venues, bands, and live performers.

The M Track 8 comes equipped with pristine and highly-accurate audio recording abilities with up to 24-bit/96 kHz resolution; each channel is provided with a high headroom input that makes use of M-Audio’s exceptional Octane pre-amp technology. This results in a robust signal that offers clean, professional audio at all times. In addition, each input features dedicated line-input circuitry allowing you to record and track your productions with your favourite external pre-amps.

The ultra-low-latency monitoring of the input signal can be sent to either speakers or via headphones while a USB/analogue direct balance knob adjusts the balance between direct inputs and the playback from your computer software for the most accurate monitoring possible during tracking and recording sessions. Versatile output routing means you can send signals to outboard equipment or analogue mixers for summing or further processing. Additionally, two headphone outputs can be found on the front panel, each with their own label and selectable source controls for creating customised headphone mixes.

The rear of the unit is complete with eight combo XLR/¼-inch TRS Jack inputs which feature +48v phantom power and will accommodate nearly any audio source including dynamic microphones, condenser microphones, phantom-powered microphones, bass guitars, electric guitars, media players, keyboards, and synthesisers. The eight dedicated outputs allow for versatile playback options.

The XLR connections have been designed to work excellently alongside microphones and other lo-Z sources, while the +48v phantom power switch gives you the ability to power condenser microphones. Two conveniently located inputs can be found on the front panel and can be switched to allow instrument-level signals, you can easily connect your electric guitar or bass directly into the M-Track eight can get recording. Individual gain controls with level meters ensure you’ll always get a decent input level by giving you real-time visual feedback.

Alongside the outstanding audio performance, the M-Track Eight lets you connect directly to your computer via a USB 2.0 connection allowing it to easily integrate into your current set up and features a standard 1U 19-inch rack size so you can mount the interface to a rack mount if required. A single USB cable creates a two-way audio connection with your computer and enables you to record directly into your preferred DAW or playback audio to mix and master your tracks. The M-Track Eight is also supplied with Pro Tools|First M-Audio edition allows you to get creating music directly out of the box.

You’re also supplied with 2 GB of Touch Loops samples that range from deep ambient synth pads to vintage drum one-shots that are designed to inspire your music productions and provide you with professional-sounding samples that will shine through your mixes.
