The HK Audio Contour CT112 is a powerful passive loudspeaker that can be deployed in a PA speaker system with a bi-amplified configuration. The intelligent dual-purpose housing makes this speaker perfect for a range of applications such as a front of house speaker, on-stage monitor, or delay speaker. The 112’s excellent functionalities include speech intelligibility, excellent phase linearity, and a wide dynamic range making it perfect for music venues, mobile DJs, club and bar venues, theatres, conferences, schools and colleges, events productions, and public address systems.

The CT112 comes equipped with a large 12-inch neodymium low-frequency woofer as well as a 1.4-inch high-frequency tweeter that features a 3-inch voice coil. The high-frequency driver is optimised using the Boundary Element Method which provides you with precise directivity and optimal clustering without any phase cancellation. Together, the drivers work effortlessly to deliver a super-broad frequency response that ranges from 65 Hz – 19 kHz and is are able to produce an impressive sound pressure level that can reach 134dB, ideal for medium to large sized venues. The high-frequency driver horn can be rotated if necessary, so you can place the speaker in either vertical or horizontal configurations while a crossover frequency point of 850 Hz makes it ideal for use with subwoofers.

A rear panel features a shape switch that works to reconfigure and optimise the CT 112, so it can adapt to different situations and is also fitted with two Speakon NL4 connections for connecting to active speakers and daisy chaining multiple speakers together. The CT 112 comes housed inside a heavy-duty enclosure that is constructed out of 18mm thick Birch plywood that is highly-durable and is finished with textured black polyurethane lacquer that prevents impacts from damaging the integrity of the cabinet. A large metal grille covers and protects the drivers and is backed with acoustically transparent foam that prevents dust and dirt from entering the system. The speaker cabinet comes equipped with three integrated ergonomic handles that let you easily transport the speaker between gigs while two Aeroquip fly tracks and two M10 threaded bushings let you suspend the speaker if needed.
