HK Audio Contour CT108 PA Speaker Package (Archived)

The HK Audio CT108ES is a complete PA speaker system package that includes four CT108 8-inch passive speakers as well as four MS1 L-frames, four MS2 pole mount adapters, four MS3 TV spigots, and an ESFC flight case that houses all four speakers and all accessories. Thanks to the highly-portable compact design, high-quality audio, and ease of use this complete PA system is ideal for mobile DJs, schools and colleges, music venues, club and bar venues, conferences, events productions, and theatres.

The CT108 is an extremely compact, passive loudspeaker that provides you with a full-range, high-quality sound that is perfect for a range of audio applications. The CT 108 is equipped with an 8-inch low-frequency woofer as well as a 1-inch high-frequency tweeter that features a 2-inch voice coil. Both drivers work in perfect harmony to deliver a pristine sound with a broad frequency response that ranges from 90 Hz – 19 kHz and are capable of reaching an impressive 129dB, enough for medium to large venues and audiences of up to 400 people. Due to this speaker set being passive you’ll need to be connected to an amplifier or an active speaker; when connected the CT108 is able to handle up to 800w of peak power.

The high-frequency driver is housed inside of a rotatable horn that allows you to position the speaker in either vertical or horizontal configuration, perfect for on-stage monitoring or deployed in a front of house set up. The rear of the speaker comes equipped with two Speakon NL4 connections that allow you to connect directly from an amplifier or active speaker as well as link and daisy chain to other speakers for large PA systems.

This speaker is housed inside of a heavy-duty, super-durable 12mm thick Birch plywood enclosure that is finished with textured black polyurethane lacquer that prevents impacts from damaging the integrity of the cabinet. A large metal grille covers the front of the speaker keeping the drivers protected and is backed with acoustically transparent foam to stop dust and dirt entering the system. The cabinet features a 45-degree angle which makes it ideal for on-stage monitoring and is also equipped with nine M8 threaded bushing rigging points so you can suspend the speaker if needed.

This PA speaker package includes a heavy-duty flight case that works to carry four CT108 loudspeakers as well as the accessories. The case is equipped with four 100mm wheels allowing you to easily manoeuvre the case between gigs while four spring loaded handles let you lift the case if needed. Lockable butterfly catches ensure only you will be able to access the contents of the case. The additional accessories allow you to mount the speakers to speaker poles as well as suspend the speaker if necessary.
