The Focusrite Clarett+ OctoPre is an eight-channel ADAT preamp designed for both aspiring and experienced engineers. Eight Clarett+ preamps with high headroom, low noise, and low distortion — incorporating All-analogue Air with relay-controlled circuitry — record percussion, voices, and acoustic instruments with exceptional clarity. Two JFET instrument inputs, similar to plugging into an amp, capture the real features of guitars.
Great-quality A-D/D-A converters provide high dynamic range, ultra-low noise, and ultra-low distortion, perfect for studio tracking sessions. When transferring audio to analogue compressors, EQs, and effects, exceptional D-A conversion guarantees that audio quality is retained.
Add the Clarett+ OctoPre to a 2Pre, 4Pre, or 8Pre to quickly and reliably increase your I/O through ADAT, allowing you to record a full band while keeping analogue purity and clarity and bringing the original Focusrite Studio Console sound to your recordings.
Get the classic Focusrite sound with All-analogue Air
With quality, relay-controlled analogue circuitry on every preamp that emulates the legendary Focusrite ISA 110, as found on the original Focusrite Studio Console, it's now even easier to get closer to the origin of the Focusrite sound. When Air is activated, the impedance is changed to 2.2k and two more high shelves are added, giving a total of a 4dB increase in the high frequencies.

In any session, get clear records. The natural sound of source signals is retained with a dynamic range of 118dB and an EIN of 129dBu. Inbound signals are clean with low-noise thanks to the completely balanced signal route, giving sessions the renowned Focusrite sound.

The eight dedicated channel inserts in Clarett+ OctoPre enable you to trace through your favourite outboard and capture its unique character. With our versatile insert design, you can easily add analogue equipment to the signal stream.

Hitmaker Expansion Update
Hitmaker Expansion is a curated bundle of software from Focusrite partners, designed to deliver big-studio sound in any recording setup.
To keep the bundle fresh and valuable for new users, Focusrite regularly reviews and updates its contents. They are pleased to introduce two new additions to Hitmaker Expansion:
Celemony Melodyne Essential
Intuitive pitch and timing correction for monophonic vocals and instruments, as well as drums, drones, and more, powered by Melodyne’s renowned natural-sounding algorithms.
Key Features include easy-to-use vocal correction based on the same Grammy Award-winning sound quality as larger editions of Melodyne, edit monophonic vocal and instrumental tracks, as well as drums, and even full mixes and make sweeping adjustments with macro controls or detailed edits to the pitch, timing, and duration of each individual note.
Softube Flow® Guitar Essentials
A streamlined guitar toolkit featuring two amp simulations, three effects, and ready-to-use guitar signal chains, delivering realistic recorded tones with maximum flexibility and minimal setup.
Key Features include two authentic-sounding amp sims with matching cabinets: Pacific Dual Tremolo 100W Black and Custom 100W, three creative effects: British Class A Drive, Kraft Overdrive/Distortion, and Doom Chvrch Reverb and a collection of pro guitar signal chains to get you going.
Further Details
These new plugins are available to all new and existing owners of Scarlett 4th Gen, Scarlett 3rd Gen, Clarett+, Clarett USB, and Red interfaces purchased and registered on or after 30th October 2025. From this date, Melodyne Essential and Softube Flow® Guitar Essentials replace Antares Auto-Tune Access and Softube Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555. Users who have already installed and activated the outgoing plugins will continue to have access to them.
