Alto Professional TX215 600w 15-Inch Active Loudspeaker

The Alto Professional TX215 is a 600w active loudspeaker that comes equipped with a large 15-inch woofer that delivers a huge, crystal clear sound. The super lightweight, highly-portable design can be used as a front of house speaker or as an on-stage monitor making it perfect for music venues, club and bar venues, mobile DJs, schools and colleges, theatres, conferences, and entertainment facilities.

The TX215 PA speaker comes equipped with a 15-inch low-frequency woofer with a 2-inch voice coil as well as a 1-inch neodymium high-frequency compression driver that sits in a newly-developed precision horn. Both drivers work in perfect harmony to give you a powerful, highly-accurate sound while the 90-degree x 60-degree horn ensures optimal audience coverage. The crossover point between the low-frequency and high-frequency drivers sits at 2.2 kHz and ensures you’ll get a smooth response across the whole frequency spectrum.

A Class D amplifier comes with a bi-amplified, two-way design that effortlessly works to deliver a broad frequency response that ranges from 65 Hz – 20 kHz providing you with almost the full audible frequency spectrum. The amplifier also works to give you a massive sound pressure level that reaches a maximum of 119dB. The Class D amp delivers 400w of peak power to the low-frequency driver and 200w of peak power to the high-frequency driver. The TX215 comes fitted with active protection circuits that stop the speaker from damaging itself and includes an overload analogue limiter/compressor that prevents overdriven signals from damaging the drivers while a thermal protector ensures the speaker will not overheat.

The rear of the speaker is fitted with two equalisation controls which include a +3dB boost for the high and low frequencies which is ideal for music as well as a high and low-frequency cut setting that is perfect for speech and non-music applications. A ground lift switch allows you to stop ground noise from ruining your performances while a clip limiter LED gives you a visual indication when you’re driving the speaker with too loud a signal. A combo XLR/¼-inch TRS input lets you connect a range of audio devices to the speaker such as microphones, instruments, and mixers while an XLR output allows you to link multiple speakers together for PA systems.

The injection-moulded polypropylene enclosure is robust and is designed to withstand the rigours of everyday on-stage use and makes use of multiple angles that allow you to set the speaker up as a wedge monitor. Rubber feet work to prevent the speaker from being scratched when set up on the floor. A large metal grille completely covers the front of the speaker and works to protect both drivers from accidental damages. Two integrated handles allow for ease of transport allowing you to quickly move the speaker when needed. A standard speaker pole socket means you can mount the speaker to a speaker pole.
