At the heart of MPC XL is a next generation Gen 2 8-core processor paired with 16 GB of RAM, offering up to four times the processing power of previous MPC models. This allows you to run multiple plugin instruments, audio tracks, and effects simultaneously while keeping your creative flow uninterrupted. With support for up to 32 plugin instruments, 16 audio tracks, and 256 simultaneous voices, MPC XL is designed to handle demanding modern production sessions with ease.
The Akai MPC XL features ultra-responsive MPCe pads with advanced 3D sensing technology, giving you a new level of expressive control. Each pad is divided into four quadrants, allowing you to morph, loop, layer, and manipulate sounds in real time. A dedicated step sequencer with 16 RGB function buttons, a performance touch-strip, and 16 touch-sensitive Q-Link knobs with OLED displays provide immediate, tactile control over every aspect of your music.
Running on the MPC3 operating system, MPC XL offers advanced sequencing, clip launching, professional stem separation, high quality time stretching, and deep performance tools that MPC users know and trust. A large 10.1 inch tilting HD touchscreen ties everything together, making editing, arranging, and sound design fast and intuitive.
Connectivity is equally powerful. Dual XLR and TRS combo inputs with phantom power make it easy to record vocals and instruments, while dedicated instrument inputs, multiple line outputs, USB-C audio and MIDI connectivity, and CV and Gate outputs ensure MPC XL integrates seamlessly into any studio or live setup.
