The Adam Audio Sub8 Pro is a professional 8” subwoofer designed to provide powerful, controlled low-frequency reproduction for compact monitoring systems. Combining a high-excursion, low-distortion woofer with an FEA-optimised bass reflex port, Class D amplification and advanced DSP, it delivers a solid foundation for accurate stereo and multichannel monitoring.
The Sub8 Pro offers comprehensive connectivity and control options, including AES3 digital I/O, balanced XLR and TRS analogue connections, and a dedicated footswitch input for activating or bypassing bass management. Precise phase and crossover controls make it easy to integrate the subwoofer into your monitoring setup.
Network connectivity provides access to Adam Audio’s ADAM Control software, allowing you to remotely manage and calibrate the Sub8 Pro over Ethernet. The software enables manual time alignment, four-band parametric EQ adjustment and the application of Sonarworks calibration profiles through the integrated DSP platform. Firmware updates can also be managed through ADAM Control, allowing additional functionality to be introduced over time.
The Sub features three operating modes to suit different monitoring applications. Stereo mode is designed for conventional 2.1 systems, while LFE mode is optimised for immersive workflows such as Dolby Atmos. Wide mode allows the subwoofer to play full range, providing greater flexibility when handling bass management elsewhere in the signal chain.
At the heart of the Sub8 Pro is its high-excursion 8” woofer, featuring a fibre-reinforced paper cone, rubber surround and a precision ferrite magnet system designed for controlled, low-distortion performance. The FEA-optimised bass reflex port has been engineered to improve airflow and reduce turbulence, helping the subwoofer deliver high sound pressure levels with greater consistency.
A highly efficient Class D amplifier drives the woofer, while DSP-controlled amplification, limiting, crossovers and filters help maintain consistent performance and protect the subwoofer's components. Audiophile-grade converters complete the signal path.
All of this technology is housed in a robust, vibration-resistant MDF cabinet with additional internal bracing and a protective steel grille. The Sub8 Pro comes with a 2-year warranty, extendable to 5 years upon product registration.
