The new rekordbox version 6.1.1 brings new and improved features to the already state-of-the-art software in the form of the brand-new Edit mode in the Creative Plan, Vocal Position Detection, and the additional support for TIDAL the world-renown music streaming platform.

Tailor Tracks with Edit Mode
Edit Mode is a feature of the Creative Plan and can be used to customise any track in your rekordbox collection to make it into a version that suits your set, so personal to you and your style. It is easy to use and is quick at removing or looping sections of music. All changes can be made in rekordbox, so there is no need to export tracks to an external DAW and then have to re-import them once you’ve finished.
Using Beatgrid as a guide will help you select the parts of the music you wish to keep and also help to use the waveform for reference. The Palette function within the editing process can be used to temporarily store sections of a track, which aids in the speeding up of the process. There is also the option to save your progress under a project file meaning you can return to it and work on it at your leisure.
TIDAL music streaming support
Linking rekordbox to TIDAL subscription service means you have access to over 60 million songs and playlists made by top artists. The platform can be used to browse albums, tracks and playlists all directly from rekordbox where the high-quality music can be included in your sets through the use of Performance mode. Inspiration can be sought through the TIDALs catalogue of music, even down to searching through genre or mood. There are over 250,000 videos at your disposal. The music has various format options, including AAC and FLAC. TIDAL is the newest streaming service to be integrated by rekordbox, which follows in the footsteps of SoundCloud Go+, Beatport LINK and Beatsource LINK. Performance mode can be used if you have a Hardware Unlock device with any of the rekordbox subscription plans, and a subscription to TIDAL is required to use/access their tracks within rekordbox.
