How DJs Can Easily Sync Lights and Music with rekordbox and SoundSwitch
Previously, rekordbox and SoundSwitch could only sync lighting through Ableton Link, which limited access to advanced features. Now, DJs benefit from direct software integration, unlocking SoundSwitch's full capabilities right inside rekordbox. This update streamlines the process, letting artists create custom or automated light shows using their existing playlists and DJ routines, with no complicated setup required.

Available Features
- Autoscripted tracks: SoundSwitch can automatically scan your rekordbox music library, find the key phrases and instruments in each song, and make a unique lighting show for every track.
- Custom Scripted tracks: You can build your own light show from the ground up in SoundSwitch. Control each fixture and create something special for every part of a track.
- Autoloops: You can trigger lighting loops that are synced to the beat and set up ahead of time in SoundSwitch. These loops can take over from scripted tracks, work with tracks that haven’t been analyzed, and support streaming services, so your show always has lighting.
- Static looks: You can make and trigger custom lighting scenes in SoundSwitch to highlight important moments, like a first dance, or set the mood for different parts of an event.
- Performance integration: All light shows, whether you make them yourself or let SoundSwitch do it, will stay in sync with your tracks in rekordbox. You can also use faders on supported DJ gear to blend your lighting with your performance.
- MIDI support: SoundSwitch works with its own MIDI hardware and with third-party units, so you can use your favorite gear to trigger and control key features in SoundSwitch.
