New Denon DJ Firmware to include Serato Control for the SC5000M and PRIME 4

Serato control for Denon DJs SC5000M and Prime 4 is finally here in the new Firmware release.

Firmware Version 1.3.2 for the Denon DJ SC5000M

The new firmware update provides the SC5000M media player with full Serato DJ Pro control. The result is all of the effects and workflow has been extended to cover all DJs or Turntablists. Included in the new firmware is the easy connection of the unit to Serato DJ Pro using the ‘computer’ mode, speedy switch touch selection between Sort, View and Library, the touchscreen interface is dual view (Standard with Overview and Large Library View), quick and seamless transition back to standalone mode, ultra-high-resolution scratch accuracy between the platter and Serato software, and last but not least there is smooth communication between Serato/laptop and the player's media and hard drives.

Denon DJ SC5000M is a professional DJ Media Player with 7-inch vinyl motorised platter, modifiable vinyl tension and two variable (high/low) torque settings, a 7-inch HD Multi-touch display, 24-bit/96kHz digital audio outputs, dual-layer playback, 8 multi-function trigger pads for loops, cues, slices and rolls, customisable RGB colour surrounding the platter and plays FLAC, ALAC and WAV audio formats.

Firmware Version 1.3.3 for the Denon DJ PRIME 4

The new firmware update arms the Prime 4 standalone DJ system with full integration and control of Serato DJ Pro. The latest update provides dual-view, standard and large library, on the Prime’s 10-inch touchscreen, along with complete DVS performance control using Serato timecode vinyl on DJ turntables, providing Serato DVS expansion pack is available. Additionally, through Prime 4’s effects panel and OLED display, the FX banks can be managed, visually operated and can even be multi-stacked.

Other new features include easy connection, quick switch touch selection between View, Sort and Library, seamless conversion to standalone mode, precise cueing and scratch response, communication between Serato and laptop with the DJ systems media and hard drives, and finally use Sound Switch micro interface.

Denon DJ Prime 4 Standalone DJ System is a 4-deck standalone DJ system with a 10-inch HD Multi-touch display, dedicated XLR Zone output, 6-inch metal jog wheels with a central HD display, built-in 2.5-inch SATA drive bay, four assignable input channels for external media sources, two dedicated XLR inputs, StagelinQ connection and plays FLAC, ALAC and WAV audio formats.
