The MPC Live II is battery powered so you can create whenever inspiration strikes. This is the first MPC model to feature built-in monitors so you can get instant mix feedback. If you then want to integrate this into a larger studio setup, you can hook-up full-sized studio speakers for even accurate mixing functionality.

The multi-core processor in this model is the same processor used in the world-renowned and groundbreaking MPC X. Capable of delivering impeccable speeds; the Akai MPC Live is effective at providing professional standard usability. The 7-inch touch screen provides crucial visual feedback on every aspect of the music production process. You can chop, edit and sequence samples from the touchscreen to then perform with the 16 velocity-sensitive pads. The four control knobs are touch-capacitive, and this is where you can alter various settings such as effects and automation to craft your sound. The user interface is intuitive enough that advanced music producers will be up and running in no time and for beginners and intermediates, this is a perfect tool for learning as well as creation.

Not only is the MPC Live MK2 capable of being a standalone production controller, it is also ideal for producers with lots of outboard gear. With 3 TRS outputs, phono/line level inputs, MIDI, USB, WIFI and Bluetooth functionality you can be sure you are getting a diverse performance controller. With four additional TRS CV/Gate outputs, modular and hardware synth fanatics will be able to control other instruments direct from the MPC Live 2. Hook up USB and MIDI compatible controllers and devices to dive further into processing, connect a turntable for when you want some old school sampling functionality.

The MPC-Live Two is the central command module of your studio. The multi-core processor means MIDI sequencing can be performed on multiple devices at the same time. Connect and route your MIDI gear for new untold creative potential. Add in multitrack recording capability to get professional quality production results that rival even the most complex of DAWs.

The rechargeable battery provides users with 5hrs of battery life so you can take this on the road for live performances as well for switching studios. At the centre of the device is the powerful MPC Software 2. Enabled for use in both controller and standalone modes, this cutting edge onboard production engine lets users clip-launch, time-stretch audio, and control VSTs direct from the Live II.

With Splice already embedded within the MPC Live II, you have direct access to your sample libraries for increased workflow. Additionally, the Akai MPC Live II comes pre-mapped to Ableton for complete production and performance functionality. Launch clips, control macro controls, and more thanks to the WIFI Ableton network link function. The MPC Live comes with 16GB of internal SD storage. For producers with large sample libraries, you also get a built-in SD Card slot, a 2.5-inch SATA drive bay for inputting SSD or HDD drives.
