The Reloop TAPE 2 is a portable retro style audio recording tool which includes a lithium-ion battery. This funky cassette tape enables DJs to record their mixes and live sets directly to a micro SD card whilst playing in clubs or at home.
The lock function removes the risk of halting the recording in the middle of a set. The TAPE 2’s multiple colour LEDs provide information about its current state in dark club surroundings; this includes signal, recording status, or if its memory is full.
Tape 2 comes with A/D converters that provide 24-bit sound recording to either WAV or MP3. Fully charged the device can record up to 6 hours of music and charging can be done through USB if needed. Any line level or source such as CD players, microphones, DJ mixers can be directly connected via the 3.5 mm jack input. By enabling the THRU output, the signal can be monitored with headphones or looped to speakers; this is recommended for single output sources that have no dedicated record out.
Reloop TAPE2 can be connected to a computer and used as a card reader for SD cards, with the help of the sync tool, all recordings can be tagged with timestamps in order to keep track of every recorded set. Reloop's tape 2 is also customisable with included stickers.
