The Novation Mininova Synthesiser is perfect for those who want powerful sounds straight away or if you want to create your own in-depth layered sounds. This comes with 256 onboard sounds, or if you want to be even more creative, the synth engine is a workhorse for creating and editing patches based on the design of the Supernova series in the 1990s.
The Mininova's small size doesn't detract from the dominant performance of the synth and makes it perfect for any travelling musicians and music producers for complete integration with any music studio. Double up for use as a MIDI controller with the MIDI I/O.
Browse for sounds by genre or sound type - bass, leads, pads, etc. If the 256 onboard sounds are not enough, then you can download sound packs for the Nova synth from the Novation website.
Tweet, warp and arpeggiate your sounds to a real extremity. The ability to animate sounds with 8 back-lit buttons. What these do is trigger modulation within the synth engine as you play. Use the 8 step-sequencer buttons to create impressive new sequences in real-time.
High-performance vocal effects on the synth make for even more possibilities. The vocoder also comes with vocaltune, which allows you to sing or talk and tune your voice to what you play on the keyboard. Add this with the ability to run this through the effect engine and you can really make something new. Want to try something different then run and instrument through the same vocal effects engine and vocoder for when you want to change your instruments.
Choose from 14 conventional waveforms to choose from (square, sine, sawtooth, pulse, triangle, and combinations), 36 wavetables and 20 digital waveforms.
The 3 oscillators have detune and density for beefing up sounds and hardness which acts which mimics having an additional lowpass filter. Sound shaping has never been more exciting thanks to the 20 modulation slots for linking modules of the synth engine together. You can run two of the 14 different filter types simultaneously. Also, other features such as the effects unit, 6 envelope generators and 3 LFOs help to make the Novation Mininova Synthesiser diverse for this price range.
The MiniNova comes with three years warranty provided by Novation and a copy of Ableton Live Lite software.
