Pioneer DJs music management software just got that little bit better. Tracks from Beatport LINK and Soundcloud Go+ can now effortlessly become a part of your performance. From rekordbox DJ you can access tunes directly through streaming services or select them from your rekordbox library.
In this day and age, the ultimate access for most things are online, and that’s where seamlessly utilising streaming services with DJ equipment comes in. With Beatport LINK and SoundCloud Go+ as significant players in the online music world, what better options than to access copious amounts of accessible content, directly from your music management software.
To take advantage of this new version, you need to update your software to version 5.6.1. If you do not currently have rekordbox DJ, then head over to the Pioneer DJ website to see how you can download it.
Rekordbox version 5.6.1. Key Features
The ultimate feature is the stream ability of tracks from Beatport LINK and Soundcloud Go+ directly from the rekordbox DJ software itself. There is also the option to download via Beatport LINK PRO or PRO+ and use them to generate sets. The music software will analyse the key, BPM and waveform for each track, along with being able to set hot cues and loops. Just in the same way you would if the music was already stored on your computer or laptop.
Another key feature of this new update is the ability to search and browse tracks directly from the rekordbox DJ software. You can browse the charts, the genres, as well as playlists created by users. With SoundCloud Go+, there is the option to find and select music from your history of listening, songs liked, and tracks by the people you follow.
Finally, there is the option to use the ‘Related Tracks’ feature in rekordbox DJ to automatically select tracks that are suitable to play next. This aids in discovering music you might not have found by yourself, as well as building sets with tracks that mix well.
