MPC Beats is a new software package from Akai Professional, free to download for Akai hardware users and comes free with select controllers. MPC Beats is excellent as an entry-level beat maker, providing all the tools necessary to create exceptional sounding beats. The software itself is based on the legendary MPC hardware and pioneering MPC2 desktop software.

Accustomed MPC Workflow

All entry-level music producers will find MPC Beats easy to use and has an intuitive workflow meaning quality sounding music can be produced. The software features a 4x4 drum sample grid, sample library browser, sample edit window and a piano roll. Users can effortlessly switch between these work areas, and the smooth transitions ensure editing beats is a breeze. To aid new users, there is a smart layouts option which includes beat templates, to assist in mastering the MPC workflow.

The Beats software comes with a 2GB content library that features a selection from the MPC Expansion Pack sound libraries, one of the most popular expansion packs on offer. The library provides modern beat-making sounds that are current and fresh. Great sounding beats can be established through punchy kicks and precise claps via the drum kits, and three plugin instruments in the form of Electric, Tubesynth and Bassline. A premium selection of mixing and mastering tools is available at your fingertips thanks to over 80 FX plugins from the AIR Effects collection. You are armed with everything you require when getting that track perfected and ready to share on your choice of streaming platform.

Hardware Controller Connection

MPC Beats can be integrated with numerous hardware controllers. The Akai Pro MPK Mini, 4x4, 8x8 and standalone MPC hardware can all work with the software seamlessly, unleashing the software’s true potential. The versatile software comes auto-mapped, making life easier and means it is compatible with multiple controllers across an array of brands.



Additional tools

Two stereo audio tracks are included so that you can sample your instruments, vocals, sound design elements and more. Instrument collections can be expanded as the Beats software supports AU/VST plugin instruments along with audio effects. You can also use the software in other mainstream DAWs as it opens as a plugin.
