Pioneer DDJ-RR Rekordbox DJ Controller boasts several innovative features including new buttons for the latest Rekordbox software update, Deck Select, and is the first USB MIDI controller to support PC Master Out!

Mix like a professionalThe new buttons that have been introduced cover the newest of features in the latest Recordbox 4.1.1 software update, including Sequence Call (plays and selects saved sample sequences) and Sequence Load (load sample sequences to the deck allowing for scratching and track modification).  Switch between all four players by the touch of a button using the new Deck Select feature;  this allows for more creativity e.g. using multiple sample snippets and loop edits on the third and fourth decks while mixing on decks one and two.  Pioneer have released another first within the industry in the form of supporting PC Master Out.  This additional feature provides users with the flexibility of listening to their mixes through the built-in computer speakers or an attached desktop speaker while cueing and monitoring through the headphones.

The DDJ-RR simulates the professional club standard CDJ set-up.  The unit includes eight multi-coloured, durable rubber, modifiable performance pads.  For complete accuracy, the pads are highly responsive and used to trigger Beat Jump, Hot Cues, Slicer and Pad FX.  The controller comes with the CDJ-2000 Nexus MK2 style jog wheels, making them ideal for scratching and mixing.  On each of the jog wheels, there are on-jog light indicators which provide a visual reference telling you which track is currently in play through the master output;  this aids in reducing any accidental music mishaps and embarrassment.  Other standout features include needle search pad for rapid search throughout an entire track and dual VU level meters for master out and channel levels.

The onboard controls for Rekordbox DJ features include Slip Mode, Release FX, and the newly added Sequence Load.  When slip mode is selected the music silently continues playing allowing the DJ to scratch, loop or reverse and then bring the music back into play at the correct point and bar.  Release FX allows multiple complex effects to be subtly ended by choosing back spin, vinyl brake or echo.  The new Sequence Load allows the DJ to upload a sample sequence onto either deck to scratch it and alter the sound as if it were a track.

Standalone mixer with premium audio quality

Pioneer's DDJ-RR can be used a standalone 2-channel mixer meaning additional turntables, or CDJ's can be connected.  On the rear of the unit, there are balanced XLR outputs enabling connectivity to a professional PA system producing high-quality audio.  There is also a booth output for connecting monitor speakers for that perfect mix.  The unit also includes two headphone outs in the form of one 3.5mm mini jack and one 1/4 inch jack.  The controller can be USB bus-powered, or there is the option of AC power mains (available separately).

Rekordbox DJ and software 4.1.1 update

The controller reflects the layout of Rekordbox DJ including all rotary knobs, line faders, crossfader, master and gains, loop buttons, play/cue buttons and VU meter.  The Rekordbox DJ software update 4.1.1 as an extra includes microphone features on the mixer section, Sequence Call, Sequence Load, Expanded settings (allocated tabs within the settings panel) and PC Master Out.  There is also the ability to record your mixes to Rekordbox DJ via the already connected USB cable.  Last but not least the controller is DVS ready with the purchase of the DVS Plus Pack sold separately.

Other features

The brushed aluminium face plate is professional looking and highly durable.  It is light in weight and includes incorporated handles making the controller easily transportable.  There is a top-quality built-in sound card and a first-rate distortion free Microphone input.
