The Rane Seventy-Two is a highly-advanced 2-channel DJ battle mixer that is designed for battle and performance DJs and allows you to fully harness the creative power Serato DJ has to offer and is equipped with a digital display with moving waveforms, extensive stackable effects, dual USB ports, 16 backlit performance pads, and expressive playback controls thanks to the multi-trigger pads. The Seventy-Two mixer pairs perfectly with Rane’s Twelve digital turntables and redefines the capabilities and creative possibilities for professional, club and scratch DJs/turntablists.

The 2-channel DJ mixer was designed in collaboration with some of the world’s top battle DJs and turntablists and comes with genuinely groundbreaking technology that allows you to perform with creativity and flair. A 4.3-inch full-colour digital touchscreen in the middle of the mixer displays moving waveforms alongside a full track waveform with hot cue points and can be switched to FX mode which lets you access the X/Y effects module for performing with cutting-edge effects thanks to the dual Flex FX engines and Serato DJ’s extensive, expressive effects banks for sonic manipulation.

The 16 backlit performance pads come with a range of selectable triggering and control options which include hot cue, auto loop, slip roll, sampler, slicer mode, pitch play, manual loop, pad FX, fader FX, and transport. Pitch play mode lets you play a hot cue just in various semitones while transport mode allows you to use the pads as controls for the track like play, pause, cue, and sync. Both channels also feature an FX paddle that can lock in place when pushed up and works as a slip effect when pushed down and won’t lock in place and you can stack up to five effects at once on each channel using the four FX buttons and paddle allowing for maximum creativity.

Both channels on the Seventy Two mixer are equipped with 3-band EQ controls that offer +6dB and total kill/off abilities for smoothly blending frequencies together for seamless mixing, there is also a dedicated filter knob which gives you high-pass and low-pass filtering options. There are browse encoders that allow you to navigate your digital music collection and rapidly load tracks for super-fast mixing between tracks while an input selector lets you choose between USB-A, USB-B, Phono/CD, and Auxiliary. Extensive controls give you the ability to control the booth monitor level, master output level, cue mix and level, as well as a sampler level with a dedicated filter pot for the sampler and an effects button so you can use FX on your samples.

The front of this advanced battle mixer comes with contour controls for the channel faders ranging from slow to fast as well as a crossfader control also offering slow to fast response times. A hamster switch allows you to swap decks 1 and two over for the most precise control during scratch routines and reverse switches allow you to reverse the functions of the faders so pulling a fader down can raise the volume; this lets you get super-creative for your performances. Also on the front are controls for the second microphone and an echo amount knob for microphone one as well as two headphone outputs, one for a 3.5mm Jack connection and the other is for a 6.3mm Jack connection plus a footswitch input for even greater control over your mixes.

On the rear of the unit are left and right XLR outputs for the master output alongside left and right booth monitor outputs, dual XLR/Jack combo inputs with mic/line switches for microphones/instruments, phono/CD and phono auxiliary inputs for both deck one and two, phono session in/outputs, dual USB ports especially for the Rane Twelve turntables and dual USB ports for your laptop running Serato DJ software. There is also a kettle plug input for powering the mixer as well as two phono grounding ports for traditional turntables. The Seventy-Two mixer comes with a super-solid construction which is highly-durable thanks to the aluminium and steel casing and provides you with a wealth of advanced, performance-based controls.
