Reloop Mixtour DJ Controller

Reloop Mixtour is a condensed, two-channel DJ controller. It has been designed from the drawing boards with the aim of producing a unit that includes all the functions and components required for a complete mixer with a transport and remix section.  Close collaboration with Algoriddim has ensured the controller met the specs. Reloop Mixtour can be used with iOS, Android, Laptop/PC or Mac.

All of the controls on the Mixtour controller have been thoroughly tested to ensure standards and reliability is kept at its highest.  The control knobs and Pro-Faders (45mm) are tough, long-lasting and of normal size and their location within the unit is based on an industry-leading club mixer. The unit consists of three-band EQ – bipolar filters, gain trim pots and VU meter (interchangeable between master and pre-fader).

The Mixtour trigger pads are made of tough and durable rubber and are lit by two-colour LEDs that show the user which mode is active.   When in transport mode you are able to Play, Sync, Cue and Auto-Loop.  Four cue points are able to be set, stored and triggered when in Cue mode.  Grids and loop lengths are able to be altered, with the same controls, when in Shift mode.

The Reloop Mixtour controller incorporates Reloop Trax-Encoder which provides complete control over the music library.  A Seek option has been added to the Push-Encoder allowing specified points in a selected track to be detected and then steered.  To look for artists or titles quickly, selecting the shift layer will aid in going through the library tabs along with the actual sized Load buttons, with minimal effort.  Another new feature is being able to manage Queue mode where you are able to listen to the next tracks before playing.  Having this function makes scrolling through large lists e.g. iTunes and Spotify track lists a great deal easier.

The Macro-FX mode feature enables the user to join the FX and filter sections with the FX-button.  Alternatively, an effect can be set by selecting Shift-button and FX-button at the same time.  It is also feasible to merge a Delay and a High/Low Pass filter at the same time.

The link with Spotify* and DJAY has been in talks since version 2.5.  DJAY enables you to access millions of tracks and use them to mix as if they were already on your music device**.  This takes the requirement away for the music to all be stored on one device and creating a massive music library.  Another advantage to being connected to Spotify this way is that utilises their Match & Mix System which analyses each of the selected tracks genre, pitch and BPM through the compiled data and as a result is able to propose the next track for you to use in your mix.

Overall the Reloop Mixtour is impressive with its solid design, packed features and dependability.  The sound is top-quality, with low-latency, low-noise playback and based on industry-standard equipment. Finally, the controller is completely MIDI-mappable.  Any MIDI software can be controlled e.g. Traktor or Virtual DJ.  Also, coming soon will be purpose-designed mapping files to download.
