New Denon SC5000 firmware update aimed at Pioneer rekordbox users

Calling all Pioneer rekordbox® users! Denon DJ have released a new Firmware update, version 1.0.3, for their ground-breaking SC5000 Prime media player. The new firmware will provide DJs the ability to import rekordbox® files and database content directly to the Denon SC5000. The update also offers users with more accurate pitch resolution. There have been some well-known DJs who have changed their rider to the Denon Prime Series since its release including Tiesto, Oakenfold and Laidback Luke.

This news only signifies the dedication Denon DJ have to the Prime Series and the ease of use for their customers. Users that have a rekordbox® USB device can use the SC5000 and keep their playlist, saved loops and cue points. This is carried out solely within the unit, where it can convert the files/data into Engine format. The attuned pitch resolution creates a more precise BPM setting throughout a DJ performance.

This announcement follows on from the recognition Denon received at the DJ Mag’s DJ Tech awards earlier this year where they picked up two awards; Winner – Innovative New Product and Winner – Ultimate Club Deck. It has not gone unnoticed within the industry that the SC5000 Prime media player provides future-proof professional DJ performance credentials. Especially with its ability for DJs to mix a set directly on the player, thanks to the dual-layer playback on a single unit and 7-inch multi-touch interactive display, and then additionally perform live with creativity using the on-board trigger pads.

For new customers, this firmware will be rolled out with the purchase of the Denon SC5000 Prime media players from November 2017. Existing users can download the new v1.0.3 firmware update from the Denon DJ website.
