Meet The New Focusrite 2nd Gen Scarlett Range

The Scarlett second generation units are built in strong, sleek, red metal casing with new metal gain controls.  They also have super-low latency which measures at 2.74ms working at 96kHz resulting in VST software and effects being monitored and recorded in real time.  Each of the interfaces includes current mic preamp features which provide a more even gain structure, ensuring that all levels can be precisely set.  They also have the ability to withstand and record seriously hot pick-ups.  Additionally, Focusrite has included an Analogue Protection Circuitry, which defends the audio interfaces against any power surges.

Each of the units incorporates one or more natural-sounding Microphone and/or Instrument preamps.  They also provide class-leading digital conversion and sample rates which run up to an exceptional 192kHz/24bit.  The interfaces can be used with well-known DAWs on either Mac or PC and include a vast number of inputs and outputs e.g. microphone, analogue, headphone and MIDI connections.

In addition to the audio interface, the Studio Packs contain high-quality headphones, a condenser Microphone, all the necessary connection cables and a microphone stand clip.  Finally, it is worth mentioning that most of the units are USB bus-powered which means they don’t need a mains power supply to operate.

The entire second generation Scarlett range comes with an exclusive edition of Pro Tools software | First Focusrite Creative Pack.  The Pack features 12 additional plug-ins and Eleven Lite (for authentic guitar amp emulations).  If that wasn’t enough, the boxes also include the sought after Softube Time and Tone Bundle, the renowned Ableton Live Lite, Focusrite’s very own Red Plug-in Suite, Novation Bass Station VST and AU plug-in synthesiser, and a massive 2GB of Loopmasters samples.
