The Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S4 mk3 is the latest flagship 4-channel Traktor Pro DJ Controller. It comes equipped with a range of brand new functions and controls giving you a wealth of creative mixing features that enable you to manipulate your digital music files in exciting new ways and is supplied with the latest instalment of Native Instrument’s proprietary DJ software Traktor Pro 3. The decks on the S4mk3 have been completely re-designed yet has kept all the essential DJ controls and functions right at your fingertips, while some added benefits ensure you can perform on-the-fly remixes and sample phrases with ease. A new high-resolution display on each deck provides you with crucial information including a waveform strip, artist and track title, loop length and activation, a phase meter, and BPM and key information, as well as Stem and Remix Deck components when you perform with Stems and samples. Further visual feedback provides you with RGB lighting rings that surround the jog wheels which allow you to visualise deck selection, tempo information and warns you when a track is about to end.

The Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3 introduces the world’s first Haptic-Drive jog wheels, which are motorised and equipped with super high-torque. This gives you the true feeling of traditional vinyl with the precision and high-quality sound of a digital system. The jog wheels come with Haptic feedback in three modes: jog mode, turntable mode, and beatgrid adjust mode. When scrolling through a track, you can now feel cue points and loop markers which is perfect for scratching and beat juggling, while enabling turntable mode gives you natural-feeling beatmatching when nudging and stalling the jog wheels. The addition of Haptic Drive technology means the functionality can be expanded and will only flourish when future updates are added, this will give DJs even more ways to manipulate their music.

A completely overhauled mixer section is equipped with 4-channels as well as a professional-grade 24-bit/96kHz audio interface. Each channel is fitted with long-life carbon protect faders that offer smooth, accurate movements as well as a 3-band EQ for harmonically mixing frequencies together. There is a brand new dedicated FX control for each channel which can be used for instantly affecting a track, and you have four instant effects as well as a filter option with three filter types to utilise giving you the ability to create unique textures and manipulate your tracks using a whole array of colouring effects. Each deck is fitted with eight RGB back-lit performance pads that let you trigger hot cues, loops, and samples for seamlessly on-the-fly remixing of your tracks. Additionally, there is a large super-smooth tempo fader, rotary encoders for moving and looping, large play and cue buttons, an extensive effects section with four banks of rotary controls, and an encoder with navigational buttons for browsing and loading tracks. The intuitive layout of the decks feels familiar to any DJ with all functions clearly labelled which allows you to seamlessly craft mixes and gives you a clear indication of all the features you require.

The mixer also comes with a range of connectivity options and includes two stereo phono/line inputs as well as two stereo line inputs for connecting external audio sources to the mixer such as turntables, media players, and mobile devices. There are also two main stereo outputs, a phono/line output and an XLR output which enable you to connect to a range of equipment such as PA speaker systems and FOH mixers while a dedicated stereo booth output allows you to hook up to a monitor speaker using a 6.3mm TRS Jack connection. There are two headphone outputs, a 3.5mm Jack and 6.3mm Jack so you can easily connect your headphones without the need for an adapter while a USB hub with a USB-A and USB-B inputs which allow you to connect your laptop as well as a USB drive.
