The Scarlett 18i20 Audio Interface is the premium model in 3rd generation and this is definitely for the professional music producers. Professionals that own a lot of gear or need to keep a lot of equipment will need an interface like this so that they do need to choose what instruments to input, with this there is no compromise.
The Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 comes with two headphone inputs so you can monitor as an engineer, or track as your recording. The talkback function also lets give direction to recording musicians. This is the only model in the series that can be rack-mounted along with your other essential music production gear which you could keep permanently running through this.The 18i20 comes with 8 mic preamps inputs, 2 of which come with a high headroom function. Which is great for those that want to record instruments that can spike your input levels such as guitars and bass guitars. On the output side of things, you get 10 line outputs, 4 of which are great for use with the ALT function which allows you to switch between different monitor speakers on a session.

Focusrite announced a new Hitmaker Expansion 3.0 update, bringing new and improved tools and features. Now included in the Hitmaker Expansion is the renowned MASSIVE synth from Native Instruments that will add drama and colossal synth sounds to your tracks through deep bass to sizzling leads. In addition to the high-quality and powerful synth engine, over 1300 quality, production-ready presets can be fine-tuned.
In addition to MASSIVE, there is now FAST Balancer, which uses a powerful AI to listen to your vocals or instrument and then provides three options for you to select that will enhance your track.
In addition to the great additions mentioned above, there is a vast range the Hitmaker Expansion offers, including inspirational tools such as Antares Auto-Tune® Access, Softube Marshall® Silver Jubilee 2555 and XLN® Addictive Keys and Addictive Drums 2: Studio Rock Kit. The Hitmaker Expansion is popular among music makers and producers since it allows them to write, record, mix, and master studio-quality results. All of this is possible with the present tools; but, with the inclusion of Landr, recordings may now go to the next level - distribution.
The collaboration between Landr and Focusrite means that Focusrite users have access to studio-quality tools. Having access to Landr's AI-based mastering technology allows for music mastering as well as distribution to streaming services from a single location.
