Focusrite Red 4 Pre Audio Interface

The Focusrite RED 4Pre Audio Interface boasts the digital conversion at the highest fidelity, up to 24-bit/ 192kHz, with up to 121dB dynamic range making this one the most capable interfaces available.

Another reason behind this is Focusrite's new 'parallel-path configuration' which equally balances sound quality, dynamic range, conversion latency and noise floor to the best standard Focusrite has managed to achieve. The use of two conversion chips working together massively increase the signal-to-noise ratio (+6dB), while noise generation is only increased by 3dB,  thus ensuring the highest quality conversion in your audio recordings.

Expand your recording capabilities to a massive 64 additional channels, via the dual Ethernet ports that use Dante IP networking and still maintaining the lowest roundtrip latency that you can process in real-time with all your preferred plug-ins. The benefit of an Ethernet connection, over the more traditional daisy-chaining method, is that this is more cost effect and maintains low-latency over a greater distance. The aforementioned makes this ideal for a studio that intends to have a multi-microphone setup.

The 4Pre comes with 4 RED Evolution Mic Preamps, Focusrite's most advanced preamps to date, which are digitally controlled. Included is Focusrite's 'Air' effect technology, which recreates the sonic shaping of the transformer-based mic preamps of the ISA range, emulating Focusrite's original warming analogue sound.

Your new Red 4Pre will come with a whole range of software to further optimise your recording results. Focusrite's Control software allows you to set up your monitoring with even more ease. Also, this software allows for total oversight of your 4 Red Evolution Mic Preamps, thus enabling you to change stereo pair, recalling, gain, phantom power, and high-pass filter settings.

Other software included is Softube's Time and Tone bundle pack which comes with four of Softube's pro-quality plug-ins: Drawmer S73 Intelligent Master processor, which is based upon Drawmer's award-winning analogue three band FET stereo compressor. TSAR-1R Reverb, a plug-in that contains a highly polished stereo algorithm for achieving various natural-sounding reverb types. Also included, is Tube Delay and Saturation knob.

Finally, Red Plug-in suite is also included, which emulates Focusrite's range 2 and 3 EQ and compressor hardware.
