Ableton Push Information

Push is a new instrument that solves an old problem: how to make a song from scratch.

Push provides direct, hands-on control of melody and harmony, beats, sounds and structure, powered by Ableton Live running on your computer. High-quality, dynamic pads, buttons, encoders and display combined with an innovative workflow allow you to play and compose musical ideas without the need to look at or touch your computer, and more importantly, without interrupting the musical flow.

Play and sequence beats
Push’s 64 velocity- and pressure-sensitive multi-color pads can be used to play, step sequence, and navigate within rhythm patterns - all at the same time. The 11 touch-sensitive endless encoders can control device parameters, adjust velocity, nudge timing and more.

Play melodies and chords in a new way
Push “folds” a keyboard’s worth of notes into its 64 pads, with different pad colors showing the key center and other notes in the key. This allows you to play in every key using the same finger patterns, move between keys at the touch of a button, and explore new harmonies and phrases.

Improvise with song structure

Push expands the scope of creation with its unique workflow. Using just a few buttons to trigger clips, overdub notes, move between song materials and variations lets Ableton Live itself become an intuitively playable instrument.

Move smoothly from creation to arrangement
Push offers both the inspiring instrument to start creating music, and the full-featured software to finish off a track. Everything created with Push is laid out in Ableton Live on your computer - ready for fine-tuning, arrangement and export.

Includes Ableton Live 9
Push includes Ableton Live 9 Intro and works with any edition of Ableton Live 9 (Intro, Standard, Suite). All the included instruments, effects and sounds, as well as your own libraries, are ready to be played, tweaked, and personalized.

Designed by Ableton, built by Akai Professional

Utilizing Akai Pro’s long-standing expertise in the field of pad controllers, Push features 64 pressure and velocity-sensitive RGB (multi-colored) pads with an adaptive layout and a touch strip with 24 LEDs for pitch bending or navigating through a Drum Rack. The 11 touch-sensitive encoders and LCD display adapt
dynamically to control and show active parameters.

Fits inside a backpack alongside a laptop
Push is 370 mm / 14.57 inches wide, 293 mm / 11.54 inches deep and is 46 mm / 1.81 inches in height (including encoders) and weighs 2990g / 6.59 pounds. Backside connections are a USB port, power adaptor input and two assignable footswitch inputs. (Push is USB-powered, the brightness of the display and LEDs can be increased by using the included power supply).

Ableton Live 9 Information:

Create, produce and perform.

Create ideas, make changes without stopping, and capture everything as you work.
If you’ve used music software before, you’re already familiar with one half of Ableton Live. Live’s Arrangement View is a familiar working space: time moves from left to right, while tracks are stacked vertically. But Live also features the revolutionary Session View: a unique sketchpad for improvising, playing and performing with musical ideas, without the constraints of the timeline. Freely and independently start and stop any number of audio or MIDI loops - everything stays in sync. Almost everything in Live works in real-time - add, reorder or remove devices, play with Live’s flexible track routing and more - all without interrupting your creative flow.

The instruments and sounds you need to make music.
Live comes with a collection of instruments, sounds, kits and loops for creating any kind of music.
5 Synths and 3 Samplers - Live’s raw devices are the foundation of sound design in Live, including FM and physical modelling synthesis as well as sampling.
390 Drum kits - Classic analogue drum machines, one-shot samples and multi-sampled acoustic drum kits.
25 Packs - Over 3000 Sounds including vintage synthesisers, acoustic instruments and cutting-edge combinations of sampling, effects and synthesis.
4000 Loops - Audio and MIDI patterns, ready to use in your own productions, covering everything from 60s Soul and Hip Hop to electronica.
Live 9 Suite comes with the full collection of instruments and sounds.

Effects, processing and tweaking.
For getting your sound right (or wrong in just the way you like it) Live has a full range of effects from corrective to creative.
34 Audio Effects - Live comes with a wide selection of audio processors, from the classic to the unique.
7 MIDI Effects - Devices to rearrange, constrain or randomize MIDI notes for creating endless variations.
Live 9 Suite comes with the full collection of audio and MIDI effects.

Tools that understand audio, instead of just playing it.

Live can convert harmony, melody and beats from recordings to MIDI.
Live can take the notes from audio files and transform them directly into notes in a MIDI track. This lets you extract harmony, melody or drums from an existing recording or one of your own. Even create new melodies and rhythms using solo instruments or your own voice. Sampling just got much bigger.

Software you can play.

Live is even more powerful when it’s hands-on. And it works with instruments and controllers of all kinds:
MIDI controllers - Live works with any MIDI controller and includes instant mapping for the most popular ones.
Multi-touch - Control Live with your iOS or Android device using powerful third-party software.
Flexible MIDI and keyboard mapping - Map MIDI knobs, sliders, and buttons or even your computer keyboard to almost every control in Live.
Max for Live - Download or create your own Max devices to customize or extend your controller.

Whatever you want it to be.
Get a wealth of new devices, and the ability to make your own, with Max for Live - now included in Suite.
Max for Live, based on Cycling 74's Max 6, is included with Live 9 Suite. Max for Live is an ever-growing collection of inspiring synths, effects and customizations to Live itself, as well as a toolkit for building your own. Live 9 Suite also comes with a collection of our favorite devices from Max for Live’s lively community of artists and creators.

KRK RP8 G3 Active Reference Monitor Information

KRK's RP8 G3 powered studio monitors offer professional performance and accuracy for recording, mixing, mastering and playback.

The system consists of a 1” soft dome tweeter and 8” glass-Aramid composite woofer. It delivers high frequencies up to 35kHz, vocal clarity and extended bass response. The proprietary bi-amped, class A/B amplifier grants SPL up to 109dB. The Rokit waveguide is designed to ensure detailed imaging in the listening position. The front-firing bass port reduces boundary coupling to allow flexible positioning in the room while the engineered surface reduces diffraction distortion. Multiple input connections ensure the Rokit RP8 G3 will easily integrate in any system configuration. For large recording rooms and high SPL monitor needs, the KRK Rokit 8 G3 will deliver any detail of performance thru its large headroom.

Vocal clarity with extended bass response
Many manufacturers compromise the midrange frequencies in order to deliver lots of bass. KRK ROKIT Generation 3´s sonic response gives you both: vocal clarity and low-frequency extension. Take your favorite vocal piece that includes a bass guitar. Notice how the KRK ROKIT presents, in detail, all the vocals and midrange audio, as well as the notes of the bass guitar.

Clean, tight bass reproduction
Everyone loves clean, tight bass reproduction. This is achieved with the proper tuning of the woofer, cabinet and port, otherwise you’ll experience muddy bass. Grab a kick drum demo and notice how the KRK ROKIT’s bass is tight and well defined.

High sound pressure levels - without distortion
Some monitors play loud, but distort at higher SPL’s. At KRK, we believe if it isn’t clean, it isn’t true at any volume level. That’s why you’ll find precision limiters, matched to our amplifiers in every ROKIT, designed to maintain distortion free sound and balanced response. So turn up a ROKIT and hear not just loud, but hear clean.

Precise imaging from defined sweet spot
Place yourself in the sweet spot and listen to any demo selection: now notice the crisp defined image and depth that the ROKIT provides. See how you can hear each vocal and instrument where the recording engineer placed them. Even if you move your head off axis you will notice the sound character remains consistent and you don’t lose either side of your mix.

Clean high-frequency extension
Some monitors boost high-frequencies or use gimmicky tweeters to achieve what appears to be superior high-frequency reproduction. The result often is a harsh high-end that quickly becomes fatiguing particularly at high volumes. Listen to the ROKIT at any SPL and note the high-frequencies are crisp, clean and don’t overwhelm the rest of the audio range.
